Are your countertops losing their original beauty, showing dull spots, etching, or a lack of shine despite regular cleaning? Over time, even the most durable surfaces can lose their luster due to buildup from oils, water, and household cleaners.

At VICOR Floor Care, we specialize in professional countertop restoration services for marble, granite, limestone, and travertine surfaces. Our expert team brings back the natural radiance of your stone countertops through precise cleaning, reconditioning, polishing, and sealing methods designed to protect and enhance your investment.

Granite Countertop Reconditioning

Granite is a volcanic stone known for its exceptional hardness and density. Because of its durability, granite rarely requires full restoration. Instead, our reconditioning process focuses on enhancing its natural luster through a targeted three-step approach:

Deep Cleaning: We begin by steam cleaning the countertop using a professional-grade alkaline cleaner. This process removes layers of grease, residues, and contaminants that standard cleaning cannot reach, leaving the granite surface completely clean and ready for reconditioning.
Reconditioning and Polishing: Using a hand polisher and a specialized granite polishing compound, we buff the surface repeatedly to bring out the stone’s natural gloss. This one-step polish restores the countertop’s natural brilliance without altering its integrity.
Sealing for Long-Lasting Protection: Finally, we apply a color-enhancing sealer that deepens and enriches the granite’s color while protecting it from future staining and moisture absorption. The result is a countertop that looks refreshed, feels smooth, and stays easier to maintain.

Marble Countertop Restoration

Unlike granite, calcium-based stones like marble, limestone, and travertine are softer, more porous, and sensitive to acids, making them prone to scratches and etching. These surfaces often require full restoration to regain their original beauty. Our multi-step restoration process includes:

Diamond sanding to remove surface damage and imperfections
Progressive honing and polishing to restore clarity and reflection
Application of premium polishing powders for the desired finish
Sealing with a penetrating solvent sealer to protect against moisture and stains

Whether you prefer a high-gloss shine or a soft matte finish, our expert technicians can customize the look to fit your space and style. Matte finishes, in particular, have become an increasingly popular choice for modern, elegant kitchens.

Recent Project Spotlight: Marble Countertop Polishing in Bloomfield Hills, MI

Arthur and his team did a fantastic job caulking my son's bathtub....when 6 mos later it needed to be re-caulked (due to a design flaw in the tub), they came out a 2nd time, at no cost, to re do it. Ultimately my son will need to re-tile the wall to get a good seal, but Arthur and his team did a stellar job! Thanks so very much! I'm leaving the review, since I gifted this service to him, LOL!

They were professional, polite and thorough. They showed up on time, explained everything, were respectful of the house, completed the job in the time they estimated and left everything clean. I would definitely use them again.

I recently hired VICOR Floorcare to clean my entire house full of carpet along with two 8x10 rugs. It was an excellent experience from beginning to end. Arthur gave a ballpark quote over the phone and then confirmed the pricing before he started. He arrived when he said he was extremely courteous answering all of my questions. He was able to get all stains out of my light carpet which was a feat in itself. I will use VICOR again and would recommend to any who need carpet cleaning services.

We had Vicor cleaning our carpet (4 bedrooms) and we are extremely satisfied with the result achieved. Arthur came with impressive equipment. It's not just a big vacuum machine. It has a truck full of the latest up-to-date machines. He was fast in setting everything up. It's evident he knows how to do such a job. We will definitely call him again and will not hesitate to recommend him. Also, I had a question post-cleaning. He responded in the following few minutes. Always appreciate such service.

Arthur did such a wonderful job! We moved into a 100 year old home that has 40 year old carpet leading to the basement. (we are keeping the old carpet because we have an elderly dog) Arthur did a wonderful job and made the carpet way better than I thought it could be!
