At VICOR Floor Care, we recently completed an exceptional slate restoration project in Farmington Hills, MI. Our goal was to rejuvenate the natural beauty of the slate flooring, transforming it from worn and lackluster to vibrant and elegant. Through our meticulous restoration process, we achieved remarkable results that left the slate looking as good as new.
Reviving Natural Slate Beauty for Our Client
Slate floors are renowned for their unique textures and rich colors, but over time, they can become dull due to wear and exposure to elements. Our slate restoration process is designed to bring back the original charm of the stone. We begin by thoroughly cleaning the slate to remove any dirt, grime, or old coatings that may have accumulated over time. This step is crucial in preparing the surface for restoration.
Once the slate is clean, we apply a high-quality sealant that not only enhances the natural colors of the stone but also provides a protective barrier against future damage. This sealant helps resist stains and moisture, ensuring that the restored beauty of your slate floors lasts for years to come. Our team meticulously applies the sealant to ensure even coverage and maximum protection.
What makes our slate restoration service different from other companies?
We at VICOR do not use acrylic sealers! Acrylic sealers are not durable, peal over time and yellow. After a year or two, you will find yourself needing to strip the coating and re-apply. Our nano coatings last 5–10 years while never needing to be stripped when re-applied.
What should you expect when getting your Vermont slate restored?
We will remove any coating, replace any broken tiles, re-set any loose tiles, fix any broken or missing grout, re-color all the grout lines with a color sealer, finish off by applying an ultra durable satin or glossy nano sealer. When it comes to restoring Vermont slate and beauty of natural stone, VICOR Floor Care is the company to call!
